How we can most effectively reduce emissions ? Which emissions can be eliminated with current technologies (and which cannot) ? We need to understand first what the sources of our emissions are.

To lower food’s contribution to emissions, above all we need to waste less – and in a stroke we’d have the problem nearly solved. We will still need a buffet of solutions: changes to diets; improvements in agricultural efficiency; and technologies that make low-carbon food alternatives scalable and affordable.
